Sudoku Support
Sudoku is a classic number puzzle for iPhone and iPad. It works without an internet connection, does not show ads, and does not include in-app purchases.
Requirements
iOS 14.0 or later. No account is required.
How to play
Fill the 9×9 grid so every row, column, and 3×3 box contains the digits 1–9 once. Given digits cannot be changed. Wrong entries are marked when mistake highlighting is on.
- Difficulties
- Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert, Master, and Extreme. Each has a built-in library of unique-solution puzzles. Use Preference on the home screen to show, hide, or reorder those cards.
- Continue
- An unfinished game is saved on the matching difficulty card. Recently completed games appear under Recently Played.
- Undo, erase, notes, hint
- Undo is unlimited. Erase clears a cell you filled. Notes let you pencil in candidates. Hint explains a standard solving step and can fill a cell; each game includes 3 hints.
- Number First
- Turn this on to pick a digit on the pad, then tap an empty or incorrect cell to place it. Correct cells stay locked.
- Sound
- Optional sound for fills, tools, and completing a puzzle. Toggle it next to Number First.
Common questions
- Does the app need the internet?
- No. Puzzles, hints, and saves are on your device.
- Is there an account, cloud save, or leaderboard?
- No. Progress stays on this device. Deleting the app deletes that data. We cannot restore it.
- Why can’t I edit a number?
- Clues that came with the puzzle cannot be changed. With Number First on, correctly filled cells also cannot be overwritten; empty cells and mistakes can.
- A hint isn’t available.
- If the grid has mistakes, fix those first. Each game has 3 hints. After that, keep solving on your own or start a new puzzle.
- How do I hide a difficulty?
- Tap Preference, then use the switches. At least one difficulty must stay visible.
- How do I turn the sound off?
- Open a game and turn off Sound below the number pad.
